Week 12

Well we are now officially on our 12th week!! Yahoo we made it through the gauntlet! Hopefully more energy and less morning sickness are in the very near future. I've finally found a good combination with my medication and so far (cross your fingers) it is keeping me feeling almost normal ;) And on a more exciting note I felt the baby move on Monday! Twice! I thought I felt something a week or two ago but I wasn't really sure, and some books said that it was too early. But after some more reading, from a website for second and third time moms, I realized it wasn't too early! So when I felt the little flutter on Monday I knew! Oh what a wonderful feeling and it was met with the same awe and wonder I felt when I felt Alex for the first time.

Pats holidays are over for now, and as usual we didn't get near as much done as we had hoped. I was pretty sick last week so Pat and Alex got to spend lots of time together, not that either of them are complaining, in fact on Monday morning Alex woke me up with "Where is MY Daddy?" almost as though I had hidden him somewhere. She was very disappointed when she learned he was back at work. Even though holidays are over until September we are getting ready for a visit from Pats cousins, Zac and Matt. They are both flying out on August 1st, Zac is only staying for a couple of days but Matt is staying with us for the month of August. He is going to be working with Pat at Kirk's. So we are all getting very excited about the visit.

Alex and I are feeling the effects of summer holidays. Energetic little almost 3 year old + Mom with morning/afternoon sickness and complete fatigue = getting on each others nerves A LOT! We went to the park the other morning in hopes of catching it before it got too hot, but even at 9:00 am it was blistering hot! So there was only about 15 minutes of play which was not enough for poor Alex. This whole week is supposed to be around 28+! We were very happy when Martine showed up with an AC!!!! So Alex and I we very comfortable today ;)

Alex and I are both looking forward to dance summer school, in the middle of August, and the start of dance for the year in September. And its been decided to put her in pre-school for September, so potty training has begun! Its going to be pretty messy at the Calon house for the next month or so. I was hoping just to send her to Mom's (Martine) for the weekend and it would be done ;) but apparently I have to do some of the dirty work.

My first pre-natal appointment in on August 4th so we get to hear the babies heart beat then and schedule our ultrasound! So excited to find out what we have in there!

Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe August long, lots of love!

Week 10

Well we are 1/4 the way through and I am already getting big! I am showing more now at almost 2.5 months that I was at 5 months when I was pregnant with Alexandria. My cousin, Kayt was more than kind to point out that "Your body remembers!" I'm already out of half my jeans so I was so excited when my darling friend, Lisa, brought over some very nice maternity clothing today! I have stuff from Alex but it was during the summer and to be honest I was still wearing normal jeans when I went to the hospital ;) Have realized this one I will not be so lucky!

Still having very bad nausea. Its pretty bad in the late morning/early afternoon, and is really bad if I'm hungry. Was just boasting the other day that I hadn't gotten "sick" yet, famous last words! This morning was a bad morning, even after taking my medication. Remembered why I didn't like being pregnant the first time lol! Also having lots and lots of cravings! The plus side of pregnancy, your husband will drive you to Arby's if you say "I want 2 beef and cheddar's, a large curly fries!" Normally he would say "No we're making supper!"

Started the planning for the birthday extravaganza! And that is the proper word for the event that is Alexandria's 3rd birthday. With a guest list over 60 (including all the babies and kids ;), a truck load of Dora plastered all over plates, cups, table clothes, loot bags and whistles, and a party princess who is pointing at said loot and exclaiming "Oh MY Dora party! I blow out MY birthday candles!" it should prove to be a wonderful, if not chaotic milestone.

Pat is on holidays this week so both Alex and I are excited to have him home all day every day! We aren't going anywhere special but may take a day trip somewhere. Mostly we will be working on the house, garage and yard! We are still trying to decide what to do about our back yard. Since most of you have met our "furry son" Bruce, you'll know he is big and seems to like to attack grass. We have some patches here and there, mostly around the fence and garden but they are going to be put out of their misery very soon. We just can't decide what to put in its place. Its not even a smart idea to put grass back in, Bruce would destroy it in about 4 minutes no word of a lie!

Well back to work, grass needs killing ;)
