A Step Back in Time
We have been enjoying every minute of Pats holidays and have really tried to not do too many projects, just enjoy time as a family. Well today we went to Drumheller and boy was it a wonderful day!
Royal Tyrell Museum- Alex was a little nervous when we got in the door but we quickly re-assured her that the dinosaurs were not real. She was very happy about that! We gave her the map of the museum and she decided that she was going to be our tour guide and spent the rest of the museum telling us what the dino's were and where on the map we were. It was too funny!!

Alex and her precious map!
big t-rex that Alex LOVED!
After the museum we stopped at Fossil World but didn't go in because they have a huge robotic T-Rex that's moves and Alex would have freaked out!! But she really wanted to take a picture with the huge long neck that was sitting outside.
We then went to the Worlds Largest Dinosaur and were planning on climbing up inside of him and looking out his mouth but Alex flipped right out and refused to go. :( So we had to settle for a picture on the ground.
After that we drove out to Rosedale to look at the suspension bridge. Alex and Pat were very brave and walked across I was a HUGE wimp and only made it 1/8 the way across and practically ran back to solid ground. lol
We then went out to the Hoo Doo's and boy was that a fun little trip! We spent over 30 minutes climbing around on all the rocks. Alex had an awesome time climbing on the "mountains" and was very upset when we had to leave.
Peekaboo!
Dad had to carry both of the kids while Mom slid on her bum the whole way down lol
We then went to the "Little Church" Alex wasn't really impressed until we got there and she realised it was small like a play house. It can only fit 6 people at a time lol.
On our way home we took the scenic route and got to ride across the Red Deer River on the Bleriot Ferry. When I told Pat about it he seemed very unimpressed, and as we drove down into the river valley he looked at me and said "it just goes from here to the other side of the river?" I assured him it was really neat and if it was super expensive we would just turn around. But it was free and in the end he admitted it was actually kinda cool. ;P
It was a beautiful day and we were so happy to be so close to a place with so many neat and interesting places to go and see. Alex loved every minute of the trip and asked repeatedly that we go back to see the dinosaurs tomorrow!
