Just a quick post tonight. I had another prenantal appointment today, it seems like I'm living there these days! ;P So the good news it I'm already 2 cm's dialated!! So even though I'm not in labor there is progress and Dr. Keller said "any day now!" So hopefully I won't have to go to my next appointment next Monday! SJ is fully engaged now and his every movement is like a mini contraction :( But I can suck it up if it means I'll have him early!!
So my plan of attack, because that is what you need in a situation such as this. I'm taking my furry son for a long walk tonight, equip with cellphone of course. Then Pat will be massaging my feet! And if that doesn't help then I will be walking Bruce again tomorrow followed by another foot massage from poor Pat. And on Wednesday I have an appointment with my massage therapist who has induced labor 4 times with just a foot massage!
So hopefully by this weekend, or at least by Monday, we will have welcomed SJ! I'm taking my laptop to the hospital so I'll post pics here and on FB as soon as I'm able!

37 Weeks (maybe 3 left!)
Well last week I wasn't ready to do the whole labor and delivery thing, but this week I'm all for it. In fact the sooner the better ;P Pat on the other hand could give it a couple of days if not the whole 3 weeks. He is very very busy at work and even though he loves me and his children, he has a passionate dedication to his customers and will find it difficult to put anything on hold to go have a baby. But he will do it, and I told him to start booking a little lighter next week cause thats when SJ is being born. No I haven't developed a precognative condition, I'm just hoping and praying!
As for Mr. SJ and his grumpy mama, well he is growing by leaps and bounds, my stomache grew by 3 cm's in one week, and I gained 2 pounds!!! Last week I was measuring a week behind, 35cm for 36 weeks, but this week I'm at 38cm for 37 weeks! So he's huge and I'm past uncomfortable. His movements aren't annoyances anymore, they are painful and almost deliberate. Coupled with the HORRIBLE heart burn and many other complaints, I am totally prepaired to have him much sooner than later. Another reason I think I'm going to have him early, I just don't feel good. It's not just the normal complaints, I just feel crappy. And I remember feeling that way with Alex the day before I had her. I've already burned through all my nesting energy, finishing SJ's room was a huge undertaking! So I'm using any energy I have left to go about my day to day routine, try to get this disaster of a house cleaned and finish year end! My day to day routine is taking a hit, Alex is going to be missing some days at preschool because by Wednesday I really don't have enough in me to take her lol.
While I'm typing this part of the entry its actually 4:30am on Wednesday. I woke up with a charlie horse and cannot get back to sleep. Oh I'll get there eventually but it will be at 8:00am when Alex is up and asking for a million things at once lol. Just another little complaint lol.
As for the Princess Alexandria, I am amazed everyday with all the new things she does and the stuff that comes out of her mouth. Last week she and Pat were home together one night while I was out with Des picking up her wedding dress. Alex was being really cuddly so Pat was looking up on youtube all the old cartoons we used to watch as kids. Well he came across Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Alex fell in LOVE. She thinks it was the greatest show invented and sings the intro very loudly. The really funny this is she won't watch it unless Pat is home. He comes through the door and after she does her daily yell of "DADDY YOUR HOME!" she asks "can we watch the turtles?" She is also getting impaitient for SJ to come. She has asked Dr. Keller at every visit if he can take him out. She has also convinced herself that telling SJ, through the uterine wall, to come out will work. "Joseph you're going to come out so I can change your diaper now" Then she looks at me "Mom you should go to the hospital so I can change his diaper." So even Alex is ready for this monster to make his apperance. Even poor Bruce is getting impatient. Everytime I go near him, he kinda looks at me like "Ok now is the time to disrupt my senior years, get it over with already cause I'm not getting any younger!"
Well I hope the next post will be to announce the arrival of our little man! May you all be sleeping right now, because I sure wish I was ;P lol

36 Weeks
Only 4 very short weeks left until Mr. Calon joins our family and we are ready! We finished the construction on SJ's room on Sunday. Pat finished the floors on Saturday and installed the trim on Sunday. And I have been slowly putting the finishing decorating touches on the whole room. I over did it on Sunday, lots of running around and cleaning. So I've had to take a couple of days to just sit down more and relax. I keep forgetting that this bump in front really does impact my body, at least when the job is over. We have the crib, dresser and change table all set up. The bedding is in the crib, and all of his super cute clothes are hung in his closet or folded in his drawers.
Pat has worked non-stop every day for over 3 weeks to get this room finished and it looks great! Last week I got a little antsy so I washed all of SJ's clothes and got his hospital bag all packed (I have to get mine done today!). I had a wonderful time gushing over how small everything was. Alex was being a big help and was just as amazed that Joe is going to be that small. She was even more amazed that she was that small not too long ago.
As February approaches all three of us are getting very anxious and excited. I'm looking forward to no heartburn, no horrible back aches, not taking 5 minutes to get up the stairs, losing weight, even taking Bruce for a walk (other than this past week, its been too cold and icy so Pat won't let me take him). Pat is looking forward to not hearing about all the crappy things that I have to deal with (he never complains though, he's too darn sweet), he can't wait to watch the first basketball game with his two babies, and he can't wait to cuddle with both of his babies on Sunday morning, one for each arm! Alexandria can't wait to give her little brother a kiss and a hug, she is excited to change diapers and even understands the use of peepee teepee's, the first bath is on her huge list of things to do, along with brushing his hair, playing with him, rocking him.
The only problem I forsee is when she has to share certain people. I'm sure she will have no problem letting Mom and Dad spend time with SJ, but when it comes to Grama Martine, Grama Linda and Uncle Richard, I think we may have a problem. She'll get used to the grandma's pretty quick I think but we may have a serious and on going issue with sharing Uncle Richard.
A little background for those that don't know, Richard and Pat have been best friends since high school and when I met Rich (almost 7 years ago) we hit it off and he has become one of my nearest and dearest. In fact calling Rich our best friend doesn't really justify our relationship with him, he is our brother. So when Alex was born we asked him to be her Godfather and he whole heartedly accepted. He is a huge part of our life and we involve him in our lives as often as life allows. So Alex and Rich have a tremendous mutual love for each other. They also have a very special bond that was forged when Alex was only a month old and we just gave Alex to Rich and said "there, you do it"! The look on his face was priceless. But he stepped up and has changed his fair share of diapers, been puked on, been peed on, and I'm pretty sure I remember Alex handing him a "booger" one time! So Alex knows that she is special to Uncle Richard and doesn't even like to share him with us. But I guess she will have to get used to it.
I'm now down to the weekly prenatal appointments. Going once a week is a huge inconvience right now, as I am just starting year end for PK. Combined with taking Alex to and from school twice a week, and spending two hours going to dance, once a week, there really isn't a lot of time to do anything else but work. I'm still trying to get motivated to start cooking and freezing meals for after SJ comes. But so far there is no inclination from the "Suzy Q" side of my personality. When Alex was born the hungry man frozen meal wore out their welcome and living with a 3 year old has completely destroyed the allure of macaroni and hotdogs. So while I will get motivated to do some pre-cooking, I'm going to rely on the Grandma's too feed us for a couple of days. Surprise!!! Aren't they wonderful women! Okay so I'm not being so much "Suzy Q" more like "mention a huge favor in front of a bunch of people and they can't possible say no". My mama didn't raise no fool!
Hope you enjoy the pictures of SJ's room and either tonight or tomorrow I'll get Pat to take a pic of my HUGE tummy and post it.
Lots of Love
