Spring into Spring?

It seems that the time between blogs is getting longer and longer, try as I may to dedicate some time to writing something.  Its not that there is not a huge amount of news and funny stories, its just that there seems to be a HUGE amount of things to do lately.  I know I've said it before, but man are we busy!  Pat is very busy at work as usual.  And even though I only "work" one day a week it seems that 3-4 days are actually taken up by this one day commute.  Mondays are designated to clean up from the weekend and get ready for work on Tuesday.  Tuesday is of course a write off, I get up at 5:00am to be in Calgary at 7:30am and then I leave Calgary at 3:00pm and after picking up the kids I get home around 5:00pm.  Then Wednesday and Thursday are spent recovering and even more catch up.

But I am enjoying working very much!  I wouldn't want to do it more than once a week because I would miss the kids WAY too much, but I like only having to look after myself for a whole day lol.

As I type Pat and I are getting all packed to go to Las Vegas!  On Friday I will be 30 and I think there is no better place than Las Vegas to spend this terrible occasion.  But I am VERY excited to be going on a long needed and deserved trip.

Alex is very excited that it is nice outside now, and she learned how to ride her bike a couple weeks ago.  She is not very adventurous and really had no desire to ride her bike last year or the year before.  So we had to buy her a new one because she is getting so big.  So we went for a family walk and in the beginning she couldn't even use the pedals.  But she got the pedaling mastered while we steered, then she worked on the steering.  Once she learned to look ahead and not at her feet she was good to go.  And by the end of the 2 km walk she was riding all by herself!  She even navigated a corner with no help from Mom.  But she did tell me that she wanted Dad to walk beside her cause Mom is apparently too mean.  LOL

And Mr. Joe is getting HUGE!  The boy is the same size that Alex was at 2 years.  He is a walking talking brute!  And boy does he like to talk.  One of the funniest things he does is give himself trouble!  When he does something wrong I'll tell him in a stern voice that what he did was bad, then he will hit his bum and say "bad! bad!"  I have to bite my tongue to keep from laughing.  He also loves to say "Nigh, Nigh" when he goes to bed.  And the boy LOVES to give hugs and kisses.  He will do something mean, like pinch or hit, and immediately after you say ouch he will give you a big hug and kiss.  Again its hard to keep a straight face!

Well I'm off to do some more packing!  Everyone have a wonderful long weekend!
