Christmas Picture

I figured it was easier to post these pics to facebook then just link the folder here! I'm so lazy ;P

34 Weeks (only 6 more to go!)

Well now that the Christmas Crazies are over and things are starting to get back to normal, we are hit with the realization that in under 2 months we will again be transformed into mindless, sleepless zombies. Between the horrible heartburn and getting up at 5:00 am I'm starting to remember what those first couple months were like. On the plus side I only have to deal with a super Christmas Crazy 3 year old!!

Alexandria had such a wonderful Christmas. She was so excited about everything! She got to spend lots of time with each of her grandparents and was of course spoiled rotten by them and all her aunts and uncles. But according to Alex the best thing about Christmas this year was her fish Rudolf. Santa was ever so nice and brought her a deep orange Betta (Chinese fighting fish) and a purple fish pool, that's what Alex calls a fish tank. Alex loves fish and up until the summer Pat and I have always had a tank of them. But we were so busy and they are allot of work, so we shipped our 2 fish out to the farm. Martine had bought a smaller fish pond and it was Alex's favorite chore to feed the fish when she was there. So we decided that we could probably handle cleaning a 4 gallon tank, compared to a 40 gallon one its pretty easy. Plus Betta's aren't a really dirty fish, where are most of the others ones are.

So we decided to get Alex a fish for Christmas and it seemed like a good present for Santa to bring so I told her over a month ago she should ask Santa for a fish and a fish tank. It only took one little suggestion and her mind was made up. She never asked for anything else, which many of the other mom's at dance found odd lol. And when someone asked her what Santa was bringing for her she would reply, very confidently, "a fish and a fish pool!" So Christmas morning came and the fish was waiting very patiently for her. She was very happy to see him swimming in his tank and promptly named him Rudolf. I asked if we could call him Rudy for short but I was quickly informed that "his name is Rudolf Mom!!"

We had a very busy Christmas, as usual. There was lots of places to visit and lots of people to see and by boxing day I was toast. My back is getting so bad that sitting in the vehicle for longer than 20 minutes is pure torture. But we did it and its over and I'm looking forward to not going anywhere for a long time!

I had my monthly prenatal appointment on Christmas eve and I'm very happy to say that SJ (Smokin' Joe) is head down!! I also gained 4 pounds and my tummy is measuring 31cm. Two weeks behind where I should be but Dr. Keller said that's normal when babies go from breach to vertex. I've been having problems with my back for about 3 months now and since massage isn't quite doing the trick I get to go to physio! I have a million pinched nerves in my should blades, from sleeping on my side (I'm normally a back sleeper) and one of the nerves being pinched is creating a numb area on the top, left side of my stomach. The exact same thing happened with Alex in the same spot, only on the opposite side. But enough of my complaining ;)

We are almost done SJ's room! All that is left is to drywall, mud, sand and paint! Pat worked so hard 2 weekends ago and completely framed the closet and linen closet. He even got fancy and build some cubbies for inside of SJ's room. So only the finishing work is left and we are going to finish that on New Years day. No last minute partying for us, just drywall lol. I have lots of pictures of the reno (so far), Christmas, baby shower, and even some Halloween that I have "forgotten" to post. Hopefully by next weekend we will have completed baby room pics for you too see!

Have a safe and happy New Year!

30 Weeks (3/4 of the way)

So we are getting down to the wire! 66 days or 10 weeks or 2 months to go. Anyway you look at it we are CLOSE!! And I am tired. Everything is exhausting and a real chore to do. I don't remember this stage with Alex being so tiring, probably because I was working full time still and had to get off my butt and get things done. But I am finding it pretty easy to sit down and put my feet up. Our house is all decorated and waiting for Santa. All of my Christmas shopping is done! Pat has to still pick up some stuff but just some little stuff for me. And since this Wednesday is Alexandria's last day of pre-school until January, we will be much less busy by the end of the week.

The nursery is coming along nicely. Two of the walls are covered in beige paint, and by tomorrow there will 2 cost of a very pretty blue on another wall! The closet is started and in the works. I'm already dreaming of setting up the crib and hanging pictures! I can't wait to wash all his little clothes and put them in his new closet. This week I'm going to get his hospital bag all ready, early you may say but I'm not taking any chances ;) I will also be getting my bag ready. I joined a February Birth club online and already there are 10 babies born! Its really amazing what leaps and bounds our medical system has made even in the last 50 years, that a baby can be more over 2 months early and not only live but have a normal, healthy life, just amazes me!

As usual we are going to be very busy over the holidays. We have the Bridge family Christmas this coming Saturday, along with Pats company Christmas party. The weekend after we are going to a Jon Lajoie show on the Friday night and on Saturday is the Christmas Tree Tea that my crazy mother is hosting. For those who don't know every second year the crazy lady decorates her entire house with over 40 Christmas trees. They come in all shapes, styles, colors, & theme's. It's very beautiful and both Alex and I are looking forward to it. So that puts us into Christmas where will will divide our time between Linda's, Martine & Stan's and Randy & Jo's. And after that we will relax and sleep for a week before starting a marathon of cooking and cleaning in preparation for Joseph's arrival.

Hope everyone has a great pre-Christmas rush. Drive safe and enjoy the process!
