Well Morning sickness has come. Battled with nausea most of Saturday before asking Pat to stop at the drug store. It seems to be different than it was with Ally but then its a week earlier and I didn't even wait to "get sick" before I took that wonderful pill. Just remembering the feeling of it was enough lol.
So as of yesterday my only boy name is out the window. I liked the name Jackson but with Micheal Jackson dieing I didn't want anyone thinking he (if it is a he) was named after "the king of Pop". So now I have none. And I don't see any suggestions??? Pat won't even talk to me about names, he said we can decide when we know what he/she is. I on the other hand want to plan!!! I'm neurotic and crazy! I want enough time to decide on a name and have a couple of months to sit on the name and mull it over. That is what I did with Alex and I never once regretted her name.
Oh I have a funny Alex story to share. Grandma Martine had bought her some very beautiful "jewels" aka fake pearl necklace and bracelet. So she had the necklace for about 4 days and broke it one day. I thought that I had gotten all the little pearls that were kicking around but this morning Alex found a "white ball"! I wasn't really sure what she meant but she was very excited about it. So in her clenched fist I found a pearl, she was so emotional about it I just let her have it. She's past the stage of putting things in her mouth and even if she did it was the size of a pea so I wasn't too worried. Well about 2 hours later she came over and was rubbing her nose. I told her not to pick her nose (a disgusting stage she is in). She started to whine and squirm. And out the bottom of her nostril I could see something shiny! So I reached over and pinched the top of her nose. Out came the pearl! I was astounded! The first time mother in me couldn't fathom why she would do such a thing! I know all you 2 or 3 time moms were thinking it the minute I typed that I let her have it, but oh in my "I'm a mom of a 3 year old" confident brain it NEVER once occurred to me.
So here I am on my journey to becoming a Mommy of 2, and I learn that those little buggers are sneaky and no matter how old they are they will teach you a thing or two about mother and fatherhood!
Have a safe and happy July 1st!
My mom would love to tell you the story of how I used to push raisins up my nose.
ReplyDeleteI think it's thinking along the lines of: "Hey, this fits in this little hole. What a great place to store it."
